* Sri Lanka receives another consignment of Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine

July 26, Colombo: Another batch of 200,000 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine purchased by the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation (SPC) arrived in Sri Lanka early this morning, an airport official said.

The consignment arrived at the Katunayake International Airport at 02.30 this morning on a Qatar Airways flight.

This is the fourth batch of Pfizer vaccines purchased by Sri Lanka. The first consignment of 26,000 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine arrived in Sri Lanka on July 05 and the second consignment of 26,000 doses on July 12. The third consignment of 70,200 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine arrived on July 19.

The consignment of vaccines has been transported to the Central Warehousing Complex in Colombo by trucks of the Sri Lanka Pharmaceuticals Corporation with special refrigeration facilities.
