Apr 24, Colombo: According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 895 new COVID-19 cases were reported so far on Saturday exceeding the total number of cases 100,000 mark.

Among the positive cases identified Saturday are, 862 associates of the Peliyagoda COVID-19 cluster, 14 associates of Prison Cluster and 15 foreign arrivals.

According to the Epidemiology Unit report at 11 pm Saturday, a total of 100,586 COVID-19 cases have been reported and 5,789 infected patients are being treated at hospitals.

Four deaths due to COVID-19 were reported on Saturday, raising the total to 642 and 94,155 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
