Apr 08, Colombo: The Ministerial Consultative Committee on Defense chaired by the President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa met in Parliament today (08), Parliament Communication Department said.

The President, in his capacity as the Chairman of the Ministerial Consultative Committee on Defense, participated in the meeting and discussed a number of issues and proposals with the State Minister of Defense Chamal Rajapaksa, Ministers, State Ministers and Members of Parliament.

Secretary General of Parliament Dhammika Dassanayake, Defense Secretary, Major General (Retd.) Kamal Gunaratne, Commanders of the three-Armed Forces and the Inspector General of Police were also present at the meeting.
