* Curfew update: Quarantine curfew in 117 police divisions

Oct 31, Colombo: The quarantine curfew is currently in effect in 117 police divisions, the Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said. Quarantine curfew has been imposed in 112 police divisions in the Western Province and five police divisions in the Kuliyapitiya division.

Police use roadblocks to inspect all roads, including highways. So far 1,451 people have been arrested for violating the curfew.

Most of them were arrested yesterday. 221 persons were arrested yesterday and 40 vehicles were taken into police custody.
