* 39 arrested for not using masks and not keeping distance

Oct 31, Colombo: Police have arrested 39 persons who did not use masks and did not keep their distance, police spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.

Police have arrested 221 persons for violating the curfew in the last 24 hours ending at 6.00 am today. During that period, 40 vehicles were also taken into custody by the police, said DIG Ajith Rohana.

Also, 1,450 persons have been arrested and 180 vehicles have been seized for violating the curfew since the curfew was imposed.
