* Sri Lanka’s COVID tally surpasses 10,000

Oct 30, Colombo: With the confirmation of 314 new coronavirus cases Friday, Sri Lanka’s confirmed COVID-19 tally surpassed 10,000 mark, according to Ministry of Health.

According to the Epidemiology Unit report at 7 pm Friday, a total of 10,105 COVID-19 cases have been reported and 5,804 patients are under medical care at hospitals. Another 444 individuals are currently under investigations in hospitals.

Nineteen patients have died while 4,282 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

A total of 490,563 PCR tests have been conducted to detect Covid-19 infected persons from February 18 to October 29, according to the Health Promotion Bureau report.
