* State officials instructed to ensure uninterrupted operation of government services in parallel to COVID-19 control

Oct 28, Colombo: The need has arisen to ensure the uninterrupted operation of other government services in parallel with the government-implemented COVID-19 virus outbreak prevention programs, Secretary to the Ministry of Public Service, Provincial Councils and Local Government J. J. Ratnasiri states.

He said in a statement that all government officials should pay attention to the current situation and perform their duties to the best of their ability with dedication.

The Secretary said that the officers should be called for service and run the state institutions focusing attention to the instructions given to the heads of government agencies to control the spread of COVID-19 virus in the circulars PS / GPA / Circular No. 20/2020 dated 15th April 2020 and PS / GPA Circular No. 21/2020 dated 14th May 2020 issued by the Secretary to the President.

"I hereby inform you that as per the said circulars, all health instructions to be followed for the health protection of public officers and the public should be followed," said the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Services, Provincial Councils and Local Government.
