* Divulapitiya corona cluster grows to 2,075 with 39 more positive cases, three villages in Mathugama isolated

Oct 18, Colombo: Another 39 people associated with the Divulapitiya corona cluster have been identified as COVID-19 positive. Of these 13 are from quarantine centers and 26 are their associates, the Health Ministry said.

Accordingly, the number of infected people in the Divulapitiya corona cluster rises to 2,075.

Meanwhile, measures have been taken to isolate three villages in the Matugama Divisional Secretariat. Ovitigala, Badugama, and Badugama New Colony villages in Matugama Divisional Secretariat are declared as isolated villages, the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) announced.
