* Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital and Maharagama Cancer Hospital restrict visiting patients

Oct 18, Colombo: The Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital and the Maharagama Cancer Hospital have announced that due to the spread of coronavirus in the country visitors coming to see the patients will be restricted.

Although Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital and Maharagama Cancer Hospital are open to all patient care services, steps have been taken to limit the number of visitors to the patients.

The Director of the Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital Dr. G. Wijesuriya requests the people to visit patients only once a day and not to stay with the patient for about an hour as usual.

The Director of Apeksha Cancer Hospital, Specialist Dr. Wasantha Dissanayake stated that steps have been taken to reduce the number of patients in the hospital clinics.

He added that only one visitor per day was allowed to visit the patients undergoing treatment at the hospital and that the delivery of items to the patient has been completely stopped.
