* President inspects deficiencies in Katuwana Pradeshiya Sabha

Nov 06, Colombo: President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa inspected the Katuwana Pradeshiya Sabha this afternoon (06).

Due to the deficiencies in the main building of the Pradeshiya Sabha in Katuwana, the daily services of the council are conducted from the sub office building in Middeniya town.

The President oversaw the problems that arose during the meeting and the provision of services due to the lack of space and agreed to construct a new building.

The President also declared open the Ranaviru Uyana Children’s Playground and Fitness Lane near the Middeniya Wewa. It is sponsored by Ven. Murungagasyaya Gnanissara Nayaka Thera Foundation.

The President instructed the relevant Ministers to find a solution to the drinking water problem in the Middeniya area and the shortage of doctors in the hospital and to transform the Middeniya Maha Vidyalaya into a national school.

Minister Chamal Rajapaksa and Chairman of the Middeniya Pradeshiya Sabha Maheen Gamachchi were also present.
