* Group of 150 Sri Lankans stranded in Malaysia arrives in the country

June 30, Colombo: A SriLankan Airlines flight carrying 150 Sri Lankans who were stranded in Malaysia due to COVID-19 pandemic arrived at the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport this morning.

The SriLankan Airlines flight UL-319 carrying the passengers had departed Kuala Lumpur International Airport and arrived at the Katunayake airport at 8:52 am today.

This was confirmed by the Katunayake Airport Officer in charge and Airport Immigration and Emigration Department officials.

The passengers include a group who had gone for jobs in Malaysia and students who had gone for higher studies.

After the passengers arrived at the Katunayake airport, they were subjected to PCR tests before sending them to quarantine centers.
