* Coronavirus update: Sri Lanka COVID-19 cases rise to 2037 with 4 new cases Sunday

June 28, Colombo: Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 cases rose to 2037 today with 4 more persons testing positive for the coronavirus, the Health Ministry said.

According to the Health Promotion Bureau report, as of 11 pm Sunday 365 patients are receiving treatment at hospitals. Another 51 Individuals are currently under investigations in hospitals.

Eleven patients have died while 1,661 patients including the Chinese tourist, who was the first COVID-19 case detected in the country in January, have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

A total of 104,272 PCR tests have been conducted to detect Covid-19 infected persons from February 18 to June 27, according to the Health Promotion Bureau report.
