* STF arrests suspect with 23 kilos of heroin in Wellampitiya

July 31, Colombo: The Police Special Task Force (STF) Organized Crime Unit has arrested a heroin dealer with a stock of heroin found in a house in Brandiyawatte area in Wellampitiya.

During the raid, the STF has seized 25 kilos of heroin worth over Rs 230 million in the suspect's possession.

The 25-year-old suspect identified as Mohamed Razik Mohamed Rusni alias “Poo Kudu Kanna's Massina” resident of Slave Island and an associate of an organized criminal “Poo Kudu Kanna”, who is currently hiding in India.

The raid was carried out based on information received by the Army Intelligence.

Police say information has come to light that the house where the drugs were hidden belonged to the sister of "Poo Kudu Kanna".
