* Printing of over 17 million ballot papers for all districts complete

July 04, Colombo: The Department of Government Printing has completed printing of ballot papers of the Parliamentary Election 2020 for all districts.

The Government Printer Mrs. Gangaani Kalpana Liyanage said the printing was completed this afternoon (04) and the ballot papers have been handed over to the Election Commission.

According to the official, nearly 17.2 million ballot papers have been printed for the upcoming general election.

The Government Printer said following the process, printing of other materials related to the 2020 Parliamentary Election will commence.

Meanwhile, official poll cards will be handed over to the post office next week and the Postal Department will distribute them.

Arrangements have been made to hand over the Poll Cards of the Parliamentary Election 2020 to the post on 11th, 12th, and 13th of July 2020, and distribution of Poll Cards will conclude on 29th July, the Election Commission said.
