Dec 03, Colombo: Sri Lanka reported five more deaths Thursday due to COVID-19 raising the death toll from the viral disease to 129, according to health authorities.
The Director General of Health Services has confirmed following 05 deaths from COVID-19 infected patients and accordingly the total number of deaths from COVID-19 infected patients reported from Sri Lanka is 129.
01. A 56 year old female resident of Kolonnawa area died on November 28, 2020 while receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital. The cause of death is said to be acute exacerbation of heart disease and diabetes due to COVID-19.
02. An 89 year old male from Colombo-12 area has died on December 2, 2020 while being admitted to the Colombo National Hospital. The cause of death is said to be cerebral hemorrhage and high blood pressure associated with COVID-19.
03. An 85 year old male resident of Colombo 10 area died on admission to the Colombo National Hospital on November 30, 2020. The cause of death is complications caused by an acute bacterial infection with COVD19 infection.
04. A 71 year old male resident of Colombo 10 area has died at home on December 2, 2020. The cause of death was a heart attack with Covid 19 infection.
05. A 78 year old male resident of Colombo 02 area died on December 3, 2020 while being treated at the Colombo National Hospital. The cause of death is said to be a paralysis of the respiratory tract with pneumonia associated with COVID-19.
