* Eleven senior police officers including CID Director receive transfers on service requirements

May 23, Colombo: Eleven senior police officers including six Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) have been transferred with immediate effect on service requirements with the approval of the National Police Commission, Police Spokesman SP Jaliya Senaratne said.

Accordingly, the Director of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), SSP W. Thilakaratne, has been transferred with immediate effect, as the Director of the Ministerial Security Division (MSD).

SSP D.V.P. Ajith Hesiri has been appointed as the Director of the Police College from the post of Director of MSD.

SSP HCA Pushpakumara has been transferred from the Director of the Police College and appointed as the Director of the Western Province Intelligence Division.

Senior Superintendent of Police TGNWD Thalduwa, who was Director of the Western Province Intelligence Division has been appointed as the new Director of Terrorism and Investigation Division.

SSP ARPJ Alwis, who was the Director of Terrorism Prevention and Investigation Division has been appointed as the Director of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), the Police Media Division said.

SSP KGL Geethal has been transferred as the Director of the Special Investigation Unit from the OIC of the Nugegoda Police Division.

Meanwhile, SP CD Gurusingha has been transferred to the Special Bureau from the post of Director SIU. SP RMPN Ratnayake, SP RADEL Randeniya, ASPs KSK Rupasingha and BG De Silva Kalinga were also among the transferred.
