* Supreme Court to resume proceedings from May 11

May 04, Colombo: The Registrar of the Supreme Court has announced to all lawyers, parties of cases and the public, that the proceedings of the Supreme Court will resume on Monday, May 11th.

In a statement, the Supreme Court Registrar Pradeep Mahamuthugala stated that new dates will be given in the coming days to recall the cases scheduled to be heard from April 27 to May 6.

The government has taken measures to resume the state and private sector activities that were halted due to the curfew imposed to control the coronavirus pandemic from May 11 while the curfew is in force in high risk districts of Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Puttalam.
