* Police arrest 206 in six hours for breaching curfew

Mar 29, Colombo: The Police have arrested 206 people in the six hours from 6am to 12 noon today for violating police curfew imposed islandwide to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.

The police seized 56 vehicles that were on the road during that period.

According to the Police Media Unit, 6247 persons have been arrested since the islandwide curfew initially imposed at 6 pm March 20th until 12 noon today. The Police have seized 1,533 vehicles including, three wheelers and motorbikes during this period.
