* Updated curfew times announced, continuous curfew in Jaffna

Mar 26, Colombo: The President’s Media Division has announced the updated schedule for the lifting and re-imposition of the curfew currently in effect across the island.

The curfew currently in force in Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara districts, which were identified as the high risk zones when considering the spreading of coronavirus, will continue until further notice.

The curfew currently in force in Puttalam, Vavuniya, Mannar, Kilinochchi, Mullaitivu and Jaffna districts will be lifted at 6:00 a.m. on Friday 27th March and will be re-imposed at 2:00 p.m. on the same day.

The curfew in those districts will be lifted again at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, March 30 and will be re-imposed at 2:00 p.m. on the same day.

The government has made every arrangement to ensure that the public can buy essential commodities and other items from home during the curfew.

The islandwide curfew times declared in this announcement will be valid until further notice, the President’s Media Division said.
