Mar 23, Colombo: First Sri Lankan Coronavirus infected patient in Sri Lanka has completely recovered and been discharged from the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH)l, according to Health authorities.
The 52-year-old travel guide who had provided his service to a group of Italian tourists was the first Sri Lankan contracted the COVID-19 coronavirus. He was found to be positive for the virus on March 10 and admitted to the IDH.
Hospital sources said that he is in good health and has been recommended to leave.
Earlier a 43-year-old Chinese tourist was found to be infected with the coronavirus upon her arrival and admitted to the IDH reporting the first case in Sri Lanka. The woman fully recovered from the infection and returned to China last month.
