June 10, Colombo: Minister of Environment and Wildlife SM Chandrasena said that steps will be taken to reopen the National Parks and zoos that were closed to the public due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

The Minister said it was decided to reopen all zoos, botanical gardens and national parks that were closed due to the COVID-19 epidemic to the public from the 15th of this month.

All zoos and national parks in Sri Lanka have been closed since March 14 to prevent the COVID-19 epidemic from spreading in the country.
