* Sri Lanka Navy nabs two for transporting cannabis

Jan 16, Colombo: The Sri Lanka Navy in coordination with the Police has apprehended two persons who were transporting cannabis in Lahugala area on Monday.

The Navy, in coordination with Police Special Task Force (STF) apprehended two persons with about 2kg of cannabis that was being transported for sale.

The suspects on a motor bike, were on their way for selling the cannabis, when they were searched and arrested by the the naval personnel.

The suspects, aged 20 and 22, were identified as residents of Siyambalanduwa area.

The suspects along with cannabis and the motor bike were handed over to Pothuwil Police for further investigation.
