* Minister promises to provide jobs to all graduates by March 1

Jan 13, Colombo: All unemployed graduates will be provided employment by March 1, Minister of Education, Sports & Youth Affairs Dullas Alahapperuma said.

He was speaking at a press conference held at the party office in Colombo today (13).

The Minister said that the decision was taken by the former President Mahinda Rajapaksa in 2012 to provide employment to all graduates.

He said while the previous government had appointed only a small group of graduates as Development Officers, this government will provide employment to all without any discrimination.

The Minister said according to the available statistics, there are more than 50,000 graduates, they will be integrated into schools without discrimination.
