* Islandwide curfew in force until 5.00 am on Monday

Apr 24, Colombo: Other than the curfew now in force in the Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Puttalam Districts the curfew enforced at 8.00 pm on Friday (24) will be enforced until 5.00 am on Monday (27), the Government Information Department said.

Accordingly, the curfew imposed in the Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, and Puttalam areas has been extended until 5.00 am on Monday (27).

For the rest of the districts, the curfew which will be imposed at 8.00 pm on Friday (24) will continue to be in force until Monday (27) 5.00 am.

Accordingly, the curfew in all these districts will not be lifted during the weekend. In the Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Puttalam Districts no one will be allowed to leave or enter these districts. However, the conditions put in place for the farmers and those engaged in agricultural activities remain the same.
