* Curfew extended in high risk districts until April 27

Apr 20, Colombo: The previously announced times for enforcing the curfew have been changed and accordingly, the curfew imposed in the Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Puttalam districts will be extended until 5am on April 27 (Monday), the President’s Media Division said today.

Previously the government had announced that the curfew in these districts will be lifted at 5 am and re-imposed at 8 pm on April 22 (Wednesday).

Meanwhile, in other districts, the curfew lifted this morning will be re-imposed at 8 pm today. The curfew will be in effect from 8pm to 5 am next day until Friday, April 24.

The curfew re-imposed at 8 pm on the 24th of April will continue until 5 am on the 27th of April. Accordingly, curfew in these areas will be in effect throughout the weekend on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th April.

Entering or leaving the Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Puttalam Districts is strictly prohibited.

The conditions and instructions issued earlier regarding the operations of essential services and agriculture activities will remain unchanged.
