* Central Mail Exchange recommences internal operations today

Apr 17, Colombo: Internal operations of the Central Mail Exchange that were temporarily halted for nearly a month due to the local outbreak of coronavirus, will recommence today (17).

The Department of Posts said arrangements have been made to carry out clearance of postal goods jointly with Sri Lanka Customs, using proper healthcare measures.

However, the Postmaster-General, Ranjith Ariyaratne, said the post offices will not be reopened today.
