Apr 10, Colombo: With the increase in the number of coronavirus cases in India, Sri Lanka Navy has taken to strengthen the security of the Sri Lankan territorial seas, Navy Commander Vice Admiral Piyal de Silva said.

He said steps have been taken to increase the number of patrol vessels and increase security 24 hours a day.

He added that the Sri Lanka Air Force has also provided its support.

The Navy Commander said that people from South India are likely to enter Sri Lanka in the pretext of fishing.
