* Police arrest 1,493 people, seize 360 vehicles for breaching curfew

Apr 04, Colombo: Sri Lanka Police have arrested 1,493 people in the 24 hours ended at 06:00 am today (04th April), for violating the curfew.

The police also seized 360 vehicles that were on the road during the curfew.

According to the Police Media Unit, 12,223 persons have been arrested since the islandwide curfew initially imposed at 6 pm March 20th until 6 am today (April 04).

The Police have seized 3,017 vehicles including, three wheelers and motorbikes during this period.
