* President of Togo arrives in Sri Lanka

Sept 11, Colombo: The President of the Republic of Togo Faure Gnassingbé Faure Essozimna arrived in Sri Lanka Wednesday on a two-day official visit aiming to enhance cooperation between the two countries.

The President of the Republic of Togo who arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport was greeted by Minister Arjuna Ranatunga.

During his visit, President Faure Essozimna is scheduled to hold discussions with President Maithripala Sirisena.

The President of the Republic of Togo will also participate in an observation tour of several factories in the country.

Faure Essozimna was appointed as the sixth President of the Republic of Togo succeeding his late father in 2005.
