* Sajith promises to provide free fertilizer to all farmers
Fri, Oct 18, 2019, 10:43 am SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

Oct 18, Colombo: The New Democratic Front presidential candidate Minister Sajith Premadasa has stressed that he will take measures to provide fertilizer free to all the farmers in the country as well as the paddy farmers.

Speaking at a public rally in Kekirawa yesterday, Sajith Premadasa said once he assumes the office, he will take measures to provide fertilizer free of charge to all fruit and vegetable farmers in the country as well as to the paddy farmers.

Premadasa said he will also take steps to offer a guaranteed price of Rs. 50 for a kilo of paddy.

"The rival candidate had recently asked his brother and promised to provide fertilizer free to the paddy farmer. He could not make a decision on his own and asked his older brother before making the promise. But he remembered only the paddy farmer. He forgot all the other farmers."

Several rallies were held at Kekirawa, Thambuttegama, Mihintale and Anuradhapura to confirm the victory of Sajith Premadasa. Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka and Rajitha Senaratne were among the large gathering present on the occasion.
