Fri, Oct 11, 2019, 10:02 am SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

Oct 11, Colombo: Sri Lanka's Finance Ministry on Thursday announced that it will not revise fuel prices this month according to the fuel price formula.

Prices of fuel are revised in accordance with the government's fuel price formula on the 10th of every month.

The fuel prices committee chaired by the Senior Deputy Secretary to the Treasury met yesterday and has decided to retain the current fuel prices without revising since the price of crude oil had not changed in the world market.

Last month the prices of fuel except for auto diesel were reduced to reflect the price reduction of fuel in the international market.

Accordingly, the fuel price will remain at its previous prices as below:

Octane 92 - Rs 137
Octane 95 - Rs 161
Auto Diesel - Rs 104
Super Diesel - Rs 132

Meanwhile, Lanka IOC has reduced the price of a liter of 92 Octane petrol and Extra Premium Euro-3 Petrol by Rs 2.00. The prices of diesel will remain unchanged.

The new prices of IOC fuel are as follows;

Auto Diesel - Rs 104
Super Diesel - Rs 132
Octane 92 petrol - Rs 142
Extra Premium Euro-3 Petrol - Rs 148
