* Sajith challenges Opposition Leader to reveal secret agreements
Fri, Nov 8, 2019, 11:55 pm SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

Nov 08, Colombo: Presidential candidate of the New Democratic Front Sajith Premadasa has challenged Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa to give answers to the public on four key questions.

In a letter addressed to Mahinda Rajapaksa, Minister Sajith Premadasa said since Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa does not have the courage to face a debate or an important issue, he expects at least the opposition leader to provide answers to several important concerns at the national level.

Accordingly, Minister Sajith Premadasa has demanded answers to concerns over a secret pact between the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna and jailed former Chief Minister Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan alias Pillayan, the basis on which Former Chief Minister of North Eastern Province Varadharajah Permual decided to back Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the election, a purported agreement with former MP Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan alias Karun Amman and the reason behind MLAM Hisbualla who had allegedly been linked to Easter Sunday attackers, has requested Eastern voters to cast their second preference to Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the 2019 Presidential Election.

Minister Premadasa requested Mahinda Rajapaksa to provide answers to all the pertinent questions before the 2019 Presidential Election.

The NDF candidate in his letter strongly condemned the opposition leader's attempt to drag the Chief Prelates into the Opposition's election campaign intimidating masses.

Minister Premadasa also stated that he has pledged through his manifesto to ensure maximum devolution, preserving the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence within a unitary state and that he has nothing to hide from the people.
