* Election Commission receives 3,214 complaints of election law violations

Nov 08, Colombo: The Election Commission said it has received 3,214 complaints of election law violations from the 8th of October to the 7th of November.

Among them were 3,087 election law violations and 25 incidents of violence.

The National Election Complaints Center has received 964 complaints and 7 of them are incidents of violence. The District Election Complaints Centers have received 2250 complaints and 18 of them are incidents of violence.

Meanwhile, the Elections Commission announced that 131 complaints have been received during the past 24 hours until 4 pm on the 7th.
