* Presidential Election: 1,100 SLTB buses to transport ballot boxes

Nov 06, Colombo: The Sri Lanka Transport Board states that it has received a request to deploy 1,100 buses to transport ballot boxes to be used in the Presidential election.

Special police security will be provided to the Post Offices that distribute official polling cards. The Post Master General states that more than 75 percent of polling cards have already been distributed to the voters.

Meanwhile, Thursday, November 7th has been set aside as a special day for postal voting. State officials who were unable to cast their postal vote on the October 31 and November 01 have been provided with another opportunity to vote tomorrow.

Postal voting took place at all police stations and all district secretariats on the 4th and 05th November.

Sri Lanka's 2019 presidential election will be held on November 16.
