* Ravi promises solution for electricity workers' salary anomalies before August 30

July 11, Colombo: Minister of Power, Energy and Business Development Ravi Karunanayake says that an honest program will be implemented to solve the salary anomalies of the electricity workers.

The Minister responding to a question raised by MP Thushara Indunil Amarasena said a program will be launched before August 30.

Responding to a query, he said the privatization of the Ceylon Electricity Board is not the policy of the government.

When MP Amarasena inquired about renewable energy, the Minister pointed out that there is a misconception about renewable energy and that a sustainable generation program is needed.

He further stated that a mixed power generation program will be continued and a planned program will be implemented in the future.
