* Maldives Foreign Minister to arrive in Sri Lanka on an official visit

Dec 04, Colombo: The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives Abdulla Shahid has departed malé on an official visit to Sri Lanka this evening.

During the visit, Minister Shahid will pay courtesy calls on President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

Minister Shahid will hold bilateral talks with Sri Lankan counterpart, Dinesh Gunawardena, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The Minister will also meet Speaker of Parliament Karu Jayasuriya, of Sri Lanka and Chamal Rajapaksa, Minister of Mahaweli, Agriculture Development and Internal Trade and Former Speaker of Parliament.
