* Two attempted to illegally migrate to Europe arrested at airport

Dec 02, Colombo: Immigration and Emigration Department officials at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo Monday have arrested two Sri Lankan youths attempting to migrate to a European country.

They have attempted to flee to Europe by forging visas and crossing the borders of Iran.

The two suspects are a 21 year old and a 30 year old residents of Jaffna. It is learned that the youths are employees of a fish exporting company.

The two youths have been handed over to CID officials. The Immigration and Emigration Department has initiated an investigation into the incident.
