* Students can take O/L exam at the nearest center if affected by the adverse weather

Dec 01, Colombo: If any student taking the GCE Ordinary Level Examination 2019 is unable to reach their assigned exam centers due to the prevailing inclement weather conditions, they could sit for the exam at the nearest center, the Commissioner General of Examinations Sanath B. Pujitha informed.

"Measures have been taken to send applicants sitting for the GCE Ordinary Level examination to the nearest examination centers in case of inclement weather," Examinations Commissioner General said.

The GCE Ordinary Level Examination commences on December 2 and will be held until 12th December at 4,987 examination centers islandwide.

According to Sri Lanka Examination Department, 717,008 candidates will take the exam. Out of them 433,050 are school candidates while the remaining 282,958 are private candidates.
