* Navy seizes nearly 1 kg of suspected cocaine stock during raid in Mannar

Aug 25, Colombo: Sri Lanka Navy has recovered nearly one kilogram stock of drugs suspected to be cocaine during a raid in Mannar yesterday (24th August).

A group of Navy personnel has seized 983g of drugs suspected to be Cocaine at Wankalai area in Mannar, in the early morning of Saturday. The haul has been hidden near a fishing hut in Wankalai beach area.

The raid was carried out by a team of naval personnel attached to the North Central Naval Command in coordination with Anti-Corruption Unit-Mannar,.

The seized stock of drug has been handed over to Wankalai Police for further investigation.
