The precedent to eradicate corruption must be created from highest levels of the country and not from the grassroots,
Addressing a rally in Matara, Premadasa told party supporters that he would strive towards ensuring that war heroes are granted their due place in society and not made to clean roads.
"When we create a righteous Sri Lanka and an independent generation to win the world, we expect to present a program for national security and economy, program to reconcile and unite the country, a program to ensure the unity of the country and to make the people of the country happy and secure."
He further explained that when they create the change he will present a new vision and a new mission which puts 'Sri Lanka First' and assured that he will not go to live in a mansion but instead go to the 42,000 small villages in the country.
"There is no room for political camaraderie. When the people of this country decide on that important turning point in November or December, I promise you that day and night we will work to create a strong prosperous motherland for our people," said Sajith Premadasa.
