* President's three-member committee probed Easter Sunday attacks before PSC today

Aug 20, Colombo: The special Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) appointed to probe the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks on the 21st of April and report to parliament is scheduled to convene today (20) at 2 pm at the parliamentary complex.

Members of the special three-member committee appointed by President Maithripala Sirisena to investigate Easter Sunday attacks are scheduled to appear before the PSC today.

Accordingly, Supreme Court Judge Vijith Malalgoda, former Inspector General of Police NK Illangakoon and former Secretary to the Ministry of Law and Order Padmasiri Jayamanne are due to testify before the PSC today.

The President on April 22 appointed the committee to investigate and report the facts and background of the devastating suicide bomb attacks on churches and hotels that killed over 250 people.
