Wed, May 22, 2019, 11:23 am SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

May 22, Colombo: The newly appointed Auditor General Chulantha Wickremarathne says that the state Financial Audit Report will be submitted to parliament on the 31st of this month according to the new Audit Act.

Public institutions were scheduled to handover their accounts reports to the Audit Department before the 28th of February. He told the state radio SLBC that many state institutions have shown enthusiasm in this regard, but several more institutions should submit their account reports.

He further said that they could not be satisfied about some reports submitted by certain public institutions. Those reports have been sent back to the relevant institutions, and they have to re-submit their account details.
