* Two suspects arrested with over 900 g of methamphetamine

May 22, Colombo: A man and a woman have been arrested with 923 grams of methamphetamine, also called 'ice' in their possession in Mannar in the Northern Province.

The two suspects were arrested near the Mannar train station during a raid conducted by the officers of the Mannar Divisional Anti-Corruption Unit.

The suspects, identified as Primus Fernando Benedict Simeon (35) and Pushpa Raj Mary Saraniya Alfonse (23) are residents of Thalaimannar area.

They are to be produced before the Mannar Magistrate today (22). The Mannar police are conducting further investigations.
