Meanwhile The President instructed all District Secretaries and Divisional Secretariats to assemble security committees at district and provincial level and take necessary decisions with the security forces in order to maintain security in their areas and a peaceful environment.

President Maithripala Sirisena gave these instructions on 12th May at the security committee meeting held in Galle District Secretary office.

The President explained the need of a special program under the provincial level i order to maintain a peaceful environment in the country. He pointed out the importance of aligning the Police, Tri Forces and the political authority as well as the religious leaders over the issue.
