* Minister Rishad Bathiudeen given additional portfolio of Vocational Training and Skills Development

Mar 21, Colombo: President Maithripala Sirisena in an Extraordinary Gazette Notification has announced the added portfolios of Vocational Training and Skills Development to Minister Rishad Bathiudeen on Monday (18).

The President appointed Rishad Bathiudeen, Member of Parliament, as the Minister of Industry & Commerce, Resettlement of Protracted Displaced Persons, Co-operative Development and Vocational Training & Skills Development, with effect from March 18, 2019.

Meanwhile Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, who held the Vocational Training and Skills Development portfolio previously has been appointed as the Minister of National Policies, Economic Affairs, Resettlement & Rehabilitation, Northern Province Development and Youth Affairs, with effect from March 18, 2019.
