* Two wanted suspects arrested with 20 kg of drugs and weapons

Mar 15, Colombo: Sri Lanka Police Special Task Force (STF) today arrested four individuals and seized 20 kilograms of narcotics and four firearms in Ja-Ela area.

The STF raided a house in Ja-Ela area and discovered 15 kilograms of heroin and 5 kilograms of hashish hidden in the house.

The STF has discovered a kilo of heroin in the Weligampitiya area in Ja-Ela area when they inspected a motor vehicle, the Police Media Unit said.

Following the information received at the incident the STF raided the house in Ja-Ela and arrested two suspects. Four firearms, 15 fake number plates, and a number of National Identity Cards were also recovered from the raid of the house.

The arrested suspects identified as Chaminda Madhushanka and Nilanga Madhushanka were found to be wanted suspects for the murder of two people in the Hekiththa area in Wattala.
