Mar 03, Colombo: Sri Lanka's Minister of Finance Mangala Samaraweera is preparing to present the budget for 2019 in parliament on Tuesday, March 5.

Seen here is the Minister finalizing the budget for the year with the Secretary to the Treasury Dr. R.H.S. Samaratunga at his private residence in Gorakana, Panadura.

The Budget Speech containing the Budget proposals for the year 2019 (the second reading of the Budget) is scheduled to be presented in Parliament on the 5th of March 2019.

The second reading of the Budget debate is scheduled to be held from March 6-12 and the Committee Stage debate from March 13- April 5. The voting on the Budget is to be conducted on 5th April.
