* SLFP will take an honorable decision at the upcoming Presidential Polls - President

June 20, Colombo: Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena says Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) will take an honorable decision at the upcoming Presidential Polls without inflicting any injustice to the loyal supporters of the party or creating a predicament to anyone.

President expressed these views while addressing lady Provincial Council members who represent Sri Lanka Freedom Party Women's Wing at the SLFP Headquarters yesterday (19).

Members representing the entire island were present at the gathering and how the active participation the Women Front can make an impact towards the restructuring process of the SLFP and the measures to be taken to strengthen the Front were discussed at length.

President Sirisena further said he would guide the future activities of the party in a robust manner.

Women bear a special responsibility in the effort of empowering the Party and it is the due responsibility of everyone to actively contribute their fair share to build a better society and a better country, the President said.

The General Secretary of SLFP MP Dayasiri Jayasekara also expressed his views.

The Senior Deputy Chairman of SLFP Nimal Siripala de Silva, Duminda Dissanayake, Mahinda Amaraweera, Faizer Mustapha, Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Thilanga Sumathipala, Shantha Bandara, Ariyawathee Galappaththi and several senior activists of SLFP, Deputy Chair Woman of SLFP Women's Wing Sumithra Priyanganee Abeyweera and its Secretary Chandrika Soyza were among the large gathering.
