Tue, Jun 18, 2019, 08:53 pm SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

June 18, Colombo: Parliamentarian Faizal Cassim has said that the discussions held today to decide whether Muslim Ministers should accept their ministerial posts again have concluded without any decision.

A meeting was held today with the participation of Muslim Ministers who resigned from their posts at the Parliamentary premises to take a decision on whether or not to accept their ministerial posts again.

The meeting has lasted for few hours. All the politicians who resigned from their ministerial portfolios attended the meeting.

Speaking to ITN, the Former Minister of State for Health said the discussions ended without taking a decision today but they will discuss further and take a decision tomorrow or day after.

"We need to look at the issue somewhat in depth. Safety of our community is a concern, there are few issues that need to be sorted out and we hope to discuss with the Prime Minister today," he said.
