* Maldivian state delegation to arrive in Sri Lanka today

June 14, Colombo: A high level Maldivian state delegation will arrive in Sri Lanka Friday for a three-day official visit on a request of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, the Prime Minister's office said.

Maldivian Vice President Faisal Naseem and Former President and current Speaker Mohamed Nasheed will be a part of the delegation that would also include cabinet ministers from the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).

Parliamentarians representing the MDP and its Governing Council will also constitute the delegation, the Prime Minister's office said.

The group of delegates are visiting the island for solidarity visit, the office said.
